Insurance Hikes Spoil Guides' Fun

Girl Guides were the latest victims of Australia's public liability and personal accident insurance crisis, with adventure activities cut and membership fees set to dramatically rise.
White-water rafting, cave exploring, hang gliding and aeroplane gliding will all be outlawed in Guides Australia's new insurance policy, which includes a premium increase of more than 500 per cent for 2002-03.
